JOURNALIST IN POSITIONS
Journalist appointed into various positions have been advised to be good ambassador of the profession.
Mall. Ali Atabor the current chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalist in kogi state made the clarion call during a special ceremony in honour of the immediate past chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Amoka who was recently appointed special Adviser to the speaker of the Kogi state House of Assembly. Also appointed is Mr Noah Ocheni who is now the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Speaker.
The chairman further noted that the appointment s were an honour done to the profession and express appreciation to the speaker for the gesture and also called on men of the pen to cooperate with the new appointees to enable them successes.
Earlier, Mr. Omale Mathias a national officer of the NUJ in the state commended the speaker for the recognition and emphasize the need to appoint practicing Journalists into media related position for effective service delivery.
VISIT
The Special Assistant to the Governor of kogi state on youth orientation Cmrd Alfa Ebune recently paid a courtsy call on the VC of the kogi state University Anyigba, during which he commended the VC on his effort in repositioning the institution as well as bringing it up to an enviable height.
Ebune further extended a hand of fellowship to the institution for any collaboration inform of a public private partnership PPP with his office.
Earlier the VC express his joy over the visit by Cmrd Alfa stressing that any such visit indicate how close they were to Governor Ibrahim Idris heart. He also reiterated the high standard in the University to hard work and the tremendous support from His Excellency Alhaji Ibrahim Idris.

Beneficiaries of the Basic skill Acquisition and rural Agricultural Development Training Scheme of the National Directorate of Employment have been told to intensify effort at creating wealth.
Mrs Rose Igono a Director in the office of the kogi state first lady gave the charge at the orientation ceremony for new trainees of the scheme in lokoja.
Igono described the programme as an effort for the Directorate to reduce unemployment, saying the measure is in line with the aspiration of the family Advancement Progamme of the first lady lady to reduce poverty in kogi state.
WIVES OF LEGISLATORS
Wives of members of the kogi state House of Assembly have been told to complement the efforts of their husbands by creating conducive environment for them to carry out their legislative assignment effectively.
The member representing Ankpa one constituency in the Assembly, Hajia Habibat Mohammedeen said the wives of the political office holders must give their husband the necessary support to enable them be in the right frame of mind to perform their official duties optimally.
DEKINA HOST PARTY MEN
Dekina PDP hosted her elected members to the various position of authority within and outside the state on Saturday in Dekina. Those celebrated were Tom Zakeri Federal House of Reps Abuja, Omeibeje, Deputy Speaker Kogi state House of Assembly and others
The occasion which was heavily attended had Alhaji Jibrin Isah Echocho the governorship candidate of the PDP and his supporters in attendance. The event which almost became a rally of sort reaffirmed that the team of Echocho and clearance was fully rooted in kogi state with the attendance of supporters from all over kogi state.
AUDU"S SHOW OF SHAME
It has finally been confirmed that Prince Abubarka Audu will on monday swallow his vomit as he moves into the Action Congress of Nigeria, a move Audu vow he will ever take place, Audu who is so desperate to return to Lugard house has been noticed to do anything necessary to achieve his ambition.
Speaking with a group of youths in lokoja on Sunday shortly before the news of the shift to monday, they vowed that Audu can never return to lokoja as a Governor but a passer by, noting the time ahead was for the youths and that anyone above fifty , fifty two years has no place in the politics of today in kogi state.
