    Journalist in kogi state have been commended for their positive role in installing and sustaining the present administration  of Governor Ibrahin Idris.

   This commendation was made by the speaker,kogi state  Houes of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Bello when the state Executive members of Nigeria Union of Journalists and the Editorial Board of the Grapic Newspaper paid him a courtesy visit in lokoja.

   He emphasized that the state journalists have contributed immensely to the good governance  of the state through their positive and constructive critism and urge them to keep the tempo so that the electorates can have more dividends of democracy  from the present administration.

   The speaker frowned at junk journalism , while also thanking journalists for assisting him during his struggle at the last state Assembly election  that ultimately gave him the speakership position. He assured them that his doors will always be open for interaction, all in the process of moving the state forward.

   In another development, the speaker urged the league of DLG”s and Treasurers from the five local Government Areas of the Central senatorial district to serve as agents of accountability and transparency which the Ebiras are noted for in their various Local Governments.

  He applauded them for their support so far and urged them to keep it up for the overall development of the area and the state in general.
