 LOKOJA GOES UNDER
Barely two months ago there was the rumoured prediction by the leader  and overseer of the synagogue church of all nations that kogi state will witness two spectacular event that will be  heard around the world, one of which is the swelling of the river Niger and total flooding of Kogi state capital Lokoja. This story threw the whole area into a panic mode , but the representative of the church can out to deny the peddled rumor.
Then, again there has been another prediction by the weather forecast centre of the flooding of five states along the Niger/Benue river in which kogi state is one of them. This latest information took us out to observe the situation   along the river bank.
Going by our findings it will interest you to know that without any iota of doubt we on this media have decided  to call for the immediate evacuation of all those leaving  below the sea level along the river bank from Ganaja village up to Nataco Area. This is important if we must avert the reoccurrence of the situation that happened in Ibadan not quite long.
The river Niger is swallowing by the seconds and our fear is that there could be an overnight surge that will overrun the entire city as all the drainages leading to the river are in a reverse mode, in fact  at the time of this report many house are already under water.
We hereby call on the govt to issue an alert and declare  the  area a disaster zone to avoid a devastating situation which the State Govt alone cannot handle.
