KOGI: RECLAIMING THE RIGHTS OF
YOUTHS.
It is
evident the role youths played in the sustenance of democracy and the
continuous existence of the party PDP in Kogi state. With the emergence of Alh
Isah JIbrin as the PDP nominee we all witnessed the influx of youths into the PDP as the new bride to behold and how
they all worked for its popularity and acceptance, but along the line there
were some dislocations, dislocations that has caused a lot of disharmony amongst
not only the greedy elders but the youths alike. Before now we heard words like
the"teaming youths" of Kogi state, but that is no more as the youths have become so divided along individual interest. It is on record the kind of
support that was rendered by youths to the various candidates in their
political adventure, and i am convinced that the major political actors cannot
deny the role of the youths in their popularity and acceptance. If that be the
case i see no reason why youths of the
state should remain divided. If they but knew it will be most beneficial for
them to close ranks and begin to impress on the Govt to appreciate their
role thereby streamlining Govt policies
to be youth inclusive.
Staying out would
not be to the merit of youth development in the state. It is in this wise, that
we are calling on the youths of Kogi state to let go their heal feelings, while
they continue to pray for their various leaders for a better day. We are all
involved but it is the best approach that the youths desire at this moment. You
cannot allow your efforts go unrewarded and i believe your various factional leaders would understanding
that you must move ahead.
On the part
of those who are on the right hand of Govt we beckon on you to open up Govt so as to accommodate more and fresh ideas
that can assist His Excellency Capt Idris Wada
succeed with his youth empowerment agenda.
As for the
Governor, we crave your indulgence to
begin to harness the potentials of the teaming youths of Kogi state to
the benefit of a better future . There is the need to begin to crate a new
generation of kogians that will carry on
with the endowment that are bound in the state.
